The Fight of the Century
An engaging game to practice reported speech in context.
A representative body of famous Anglo-Saxon poets are fighting some mighty Anglo-Saxon singers in what has been called the fight of the century. The outcome is clear: the winner team will be awarded as the ones who write better poetry! So, who will it be? Poets or Singers? Place your bet!
In this engaging presentation, each round will make a poet fight a singer. A sentence will be provided and students must report it, making all the necessary changes, and select who said it. Then we will uncover the truth and award a point to the winner!
This is a non-editable pdf composed of 53 slides. There are 11 rounds, so 11 reported sentences.
It also includes some cultural background on the poets and singers that belong to each team.
